Madu Nie is the illustrator for Heights and Minds. She is studying Cinema and Literature at Leiden University. She has always loved to draw and paint people and is an avid violin player and member of the Ricciotti Ensemble.

She is really excited to be part of the Heights and Minds team and honored to contribute her illustrations which are seen all over the world. She visited the MindUp Ruang Riung Ceria from Indonesia in the summer, of 2022. 

Madu: "It was amazing to meet the women, who are part of Heights and Minds, on the other side of the world. I felt a strong connection. I hope to go back very soon and also to visit the other MindUps around the world."
