Harriet Naiga
Heights and Minds Coach Uganda
Harriet Naiga holds a Bachelor's degree in Agro-Processing Engineering from Busitema University and is currently completing her Master's degree in Agri-enterprise development, with graduation anticipated in January 2025. She is deeply passionate about empowering women and youth, driven by her experiences as a mother. Following a challenging childbirth experience, Harriet developed a keen interest in maternal mental health and early childhood development, aiming to create environments where mothers and children can thrive.
In her commitment to this cause, Harriet volunteered on the literature review for a study on maternal mental health and early childhood development, led by Dr. Andrea Bulungu. She continues to serve as a research assistant for this important project. Her dedication to improving the nutritional well-being of mothers and their children also led her to participate in the UN Model program at the World Food Forum, where she engaged in discussions on the true cost of food security. These discussions highlighted hidden costs associated with food security.
With over five years of experience in research and project implementation in Uganda, Harriet is focused on enabling women to achieve financial independence while ensuring their families have access to nutritious food. Her multifaceted approach combines research, advocacy, and community engagement.
