Hidde is an experienced expert in international relations and civil society development. For over 20 years he worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. He was posted as a diplomat to Ukraine where he supported the development of civil society, including many NGOs active in health and environmental issues. At the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Hidde served on the Board as Alternate Director for the Netherlands and Mongolia.

As the executive director of Aflatoun Foundation between 2011 and 2014 contributed to the expansion a global network of NGOs active for youth development in social and financial education. He also worked in evaluation and as the director of executive education for Erasmus School of Law in Rotterdam. At Heights and Minds, he will look after the finances and assist with fundraising.
